Texas Advancement Center opens in Mesquite

Mesquite Mayor Bruce Archer helped the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce welcome Texas Advancement Center to Mesquite on June 5 with a ribbon cutting at their newest location at 2920 Motley Drive.

Texas Advancement Center has programs geared towards high school students, post-secondary graduates and unemployed and underemployed adults in the workforce. They offer a variety of Teen & Commercial Driving programs have also partnered with Baylor Scott and White to offer in-demand medical programs.

On their website, Marion Skinner, Owner & Founder said, “I started Texas Advancement Center because we noticed a need in our Community for a career school that really catered towards helping those unemployed. The goal of Texas Advancement Center is to drive down the Unemployment Rate. We are currently at war with the unemployment rate. We want all of our students to graduate from our school with a sense of security now having the proper training in an essential Industry.”
